[August 28, 2010] Weena Marcus, Hibiscus Garden
Posted by msiamodel in Outdoor Model Shoot on August 30, 2010
This was probably the most patriotic model shoot event ever organized in Malaysia, since we were having Weena Marcus as the model with a National Day Theme! I had actually prepared three national flags (one small, one medium, and one large) on the day of shoot, but having a model holding a flag didn’t work very well, so we spent most of our time taking casual shoot instead… haha. Hibiscus garden was really a weird place, because you could’t find many hibiscus flowers here… But the place was good enough for photoshoot, at least no guard came to interrupt us:)
[August 22, 2010] Sonia Ng, Abandoned House
Posted by msiamodel in Outdoor Model Shoot on August 26, 2010
We had another shooting session with Sonia Ng at an abandoned house near KLCC on Sunday. The pictures taken on Sunday were better than those on Saturday, because there were more changes in lighting inside an abandoned building. I had to thank CK Ng for providing his newly bought Cambodian scarf and fan as props, which made the whole effect of the shoot a lot better!
[August 21, 2010] Sonia Ng, Bukit Nanas
Posted by msiamodel in Outdoor Model Shoot on August 24, 2010
Second time having an outdoor model shooting event at Bukit Nanas. The place is an excellent place for photoshoot, because very few people come here, and we won’t be interrupted. However, this location can also be very challenging for photographers, because the lighting inside a rain forest is not very good (make sure your camera has high ISO…), and there are lots of mosquitos waiting to suck some fresh blood… The model is Sonia Ng, a very beautiful and experienced free-lance model. She is extremely good at doing elegant poses. And her relatively dark skin looks very good when light is reflected on it^^
[August 15, 2010] Christabella Low, FRIM
Posted by msiamodel in Outdoor Model Shoot on August 20, 2010
This was my first attempt trying to organize a model shooting event for beginners in portraiture photography. The event’s response was okay, but some of the participants didn’t even know that the event was for beginners…XD The model, Christabella Low, was a very young and beautiful part-time model (only 16!). She had done several outdoor model shoots before this event. I hope this event was helpful for both photographers and the model in gaining more experience in model shoot.
[August 14, 2010] Amanda Morene, the Last Vampire in Malaysia
Posted by msiamodel in Outdoor Model Shoot on August 16, 2010
This is by far the most special outdoor model shoot I’ve ever organized with a Vampire theme! Special thank goes to Leong, who contributed brilliant ideas for the location and props. I also have to thank Chin Hong for supporting many of my events and providing me the inspiration to tone down the model’s skin color to create the vampire feel!
[August 8, 2010] Chiah Yee, FRIM
Posted by msiamodel in Outdoor Model Shoot on August 11, 2010
Chiah Yee is a young and cute high school student. This shoot was done at FRIM, because the model lives at Kepong. The view at FRIM is very good. You can find a small river and lots of big trees inside the forest. The only problem is that the place is too big. It would take you about half an hour to reach the river place from the entrance by walking… many thanks to Chiah Yee for giving me this valuable opportunity to gain more experience in portraiture shoot!
[August 7, 2010] Annie Law, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa
Posted by msiamodel in Outdoor Model Shoot on August 9, 2010
Had organized a model shooting event for Annie Law last Saturday. The weather on that day wasn’t very good. It even rained for around 5 minutes during our shoot; luckily, the sun came out after that. Titiwangsa Park is not a very beautiful park, but there are still a few places that are quite nice for photoshoot, such as the playground area and the tunnel full of plants.
[August 6, 2010] PIKOM PC Fair 2010 (II)
I went to PC Fair 2010 (II) on Friday instead of weekends to avoid the crowd. To my surprise, the exhibition hall was already quite packed with people on Friday. I couldn’t imagine how crowded it would be on Saturday and Sunday! Many showgirls were the same as PC Fair 2010 (I), but you could still find a few hot and pretty new faces. Enjoy the pictures!
[July 31, 2010] Emma, Crocodile Farm
Posted by msiamodel in Outdoor Model Shoot on August 3, 2010
This was my second time taking pictures of Emma, but first time organizing a model shooting event for her. At first sight, you might think that Emma is a foreigner. In fact, she is a Eurasian (mixing Chinese and English) grew up in Malaysia! She can speak English, Chinese, and Malay like any ordinary Malaysian Chinese:D Eight photographers had joined the shoot on Saturday. I believe everyone was satisfied with Emma’s performance, since her posing was very natural and professional!
[July 23, 2010] Helen, Fullhouse Yap Kwan Seng
Posted by msiamodel in Indoor Model Shoot on August 1, 2010
Helen is Joanne‘s sister. She is as lovely as Joanne, especially her very sweet smile^^ She is currently a free lance model and showgirl. You can see both Joanne and Helen quite often at exhibitions. Hope that I could organize an event for both of them one day! Don’t forget to leave us your valuable comments or help rate this post:D
[July 23, 2010] Joanne Lai, Fullhouse Yap Kwan Seng
Posted by msiamodel in Indoor Model Shoot on August 1, 2010
Full House has now become the “scared place” for model shooting enthusiasts like me:) This place is really fantastic for photoshoot, since the whole building is white in color with awesome interior design. Currently, Full House has three outlets. I believe the biggest one is at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, which is really a “Full House” that occupies a whole bangalow! What’s more, you can take pictures wherever you like, no one will come and kacau you (as long as you order a drink or a small cake I guess…)!
